Do you have enough free space in your hosting? If not, that could be a reason. It’s best to contact your hoster’s support for clarification.

Do you have any security plugin installed? They could also lock you out if you have entered the access data too often. You could disable the plugin by removing its plugin directory via FTP. The support of your hoster could also help you with this.

    I notice your login give you a choice – WordPress.com and ‘username/password’

The WordPress.com option is delivered by your plugin installed JetPack

Which one are you having issues with? Which one are you login in with? Be aware the user and passwords between your site and WordPress.com are likely different.

    Hi,

I wouldn’t know about the space on the hosting, I think I’m on the unlimited. I haven’t entered the login incorrectly too often, it’s an auto login from from computer. There is the Jetpack security on there. I recently re clicked on the Jetpack and found it wasn’t connected properly, it used to be, and then it wasn’t, it was still working in the background though, so I clicked on it and it re updated itself, and I could see all of the info again. Maybe that is the cause.

The two different login choices only appeared recently as well. They both used to be there, then one disappeared, and now it is back. I always go to the second one, the one I always log in with. I do know that there is a difference between the two.

I was wondering if it was a host problem, I will contact them.

    Thank you

    Lynne

Probably, but not certain it will be JetPack.

This is what I would do next

    Hi Alan,

I’m not a computer technical person, so I wouldn’t know how to do that, not being able to get into my site, and I wouldn’t know the plug in to disable. I have now contacted by host, hopefully they can fix the problem, or point me in the right direction. I think it is a security problem, as that is the only thing that has been updated, although I have logged in since updating that part.

    Thank you

    Lynne
