I have followed all of the instructions to a tee and I can’t get the short code to work on my directory page.

I have set up the page I want the directory to appear on in the Settings section.
I’ve insert the short code in the text section of the page, according to the list of short codes.

I’d like the search function to appear first, followed by the directory results.

    What am I missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I took a look at the page… I see the [acadp_search_form] shortcode, which is not for Connections. The Connections shortcode is [connections].

Does the directory get embedded on the page when you use the [connections] shortcode instead?

If you do have the [connections] shortcode on the page, can you please share a screenshot showing the admin edit page?

From wp.com support site, here are a few ways you can share that screenshot with me:

    • Upload the screen shot to a third party service like Snag.gy, Droplr or CloudApp and then share the image link from that service with support

I’m marking this resolved due to inactivity. If you still require assistance with this, please let me know. I’m sure it can be resolved asap.

I’m so sorry but don’t get notifications when you reply. That shortcode ([connnections]) works, but I’m looking to create a search box so that, based on search parameters (i.e. location, category, etc), the user can find directory results.

I’ve scoured the documents and forums and can’t find how to do this.

RE: I’m so sorry but don’t get notifications when you reply.

You need to check the box that says “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” before submitting your reply. If you are not receiving it, you should check the email address associated with your wp.org account to make sure it is correct and if it is, then check your spam/junk mail folder.

All of the premium templates support keyword search and filter by category. Here is the link:

Some of these templates have these features turned off by default based on the design focus but they can be turned on easily.

I hope this helps, please let me know.
