    Hello,

I just tried to login to the back end of my site to post a blog article, and at first was told the database was out of date, and only had the option to click “update.” Then I was able to login. Once logged in I got the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_setting() in /home/kimmarie2016/public_html/wp-content/plugins/schedulicity-online-appointment-booking/wpplugin.php on line 64

I’m not very WP savvy, and have looked at other forum posts with similar issues, but they don’t indicate how to go in to make any changes suggested. One suggestion I’ve seen is to delete or rename the plugin file, but how do I do that if I can’t get in? Please help!

    Thanks!

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
