• Hello – I have launched at least 20 WordPress sites and have never ran into this issue. I have checked off all the appropriate fields to have the comments up and running.
The only difference this time around was the how I installed WordPress, I go through Hostgator-CPanel and usually use Fantastico, these past two occasions they have forced me to use Quick Install (they claim that Fantastico is being retired…) It also came with the following Plug In’s pre-installed MOJO Marketplace, Jetpack, and WP Super Cache. Any help will be most appreciated!

Have you tried a fresh install with comments enabled and only using the TwentyFourteen theme with all plugins disabled? Try that first and report back 🙂

Hello Tada – Thank you for your input. Yes I have tried that. On both occasions I have enabled the comments and deleted the plugins completely once and disabled on the other – neither had any impact on the comments – I am using TwentyFourteen.

Hmm. Have you tried to View Source or Inspect Element within your browser on the posts/pages where comments are not working? Are you seeing any PHP or JavaScript errors? Have you checked your server logs?

First thing that comes to mind *might* be a permissions problem since you installed WP the way you did. Unfortunately, if you’re using the TwentyFourteen theme with all plugins disabled and comments enabled–you may have to open a ticket with HG.
