Can’t get any plugins to work

    I have plugins working on my home computer, but when I install them on the host server, I can’t get any to work. Does anyone know what could possibly be happening that could prevent plugins from working? The server is running Debian Linux.

    That’s rather vague. Care to elaborate? Do they spit out errors? Do they not show up in the plugins list? …

    What happens when you activate the plugins? Something? Nothing?

    If you use FTP, are you taking care to transfer the plugins to your server using ASCII mode?

    Thank you. The plugin appears in admin in the list, so you can activate it, but it is as if you hadn’t activated anything. For example, a checkbox should appear on a “Manage” page, but it does not. I have taken care to upload in ascii. It’s set to automatically in WSFTP (my ftp client). Any other ideas/remarks?

    Which plugin are you trying to activate?

    Have you tried other plugins, for comparison sake? Can you activate any of them?

    The two I have tried are Adhesive and ImageBrowser. Neither of those work (actually I am *sure* Adhesive does not work, but as I have never seen ImageBrowser work, I am not sure about it). I did activate Hello Dolly and that one *does* work….do you know of any other jpeg plugin for putting jpg’s as part of your post (with thumbnails)?
