can't find site after changing database

Hi
I’m very new to wordpress, built a site a few months ago, got asked to build my colleague a site so needed hosting package with additional Mysql databases. My provider (1and1) said that I could transfer on to new package. Downloaded all site files using ‘filezilla’ created a back up file and changed the wp-config.php file with new server details. ‘My site has gone”? I am not a coder or programmer, just someone who loves what word press is and enjoys building sites using theme templates.
Any help would be greately appreciated as I spent a couple of weeks refining my site.
Have I lost everything?
