Can't find "Appearance | Editor"
-
Hi,
I have a MultiSite.
Appearance Editor? I only see “Edit CSS”editor found under Appearance | Editor and locate the “bns-add-custom-style.css” file.
Thank you

@toni – Thanks for pointing this out … it’s been some time since I reviewed the code in this plugin and you are correct. It basically is not very friendly towards Multisite installations. I would actually recommend something like Jetpack’s Custom CSS module in its place.

PS: I am probably going to let this plugin ride off into the sunset as there are much better and more functional plugins available to accomplish what this one does.
Ah okay. I appreciate that you responded, and with a thorough explanation. And good luck – make another plugin? 🙂 (I dig plugins, too much.)
Cheers!
@toni – If you’re interested in taking this one over we can most likely work something out easily enough … I have 17 other plugins (and some themes) in the WordPress repo. that will still keep me quite busy (*grin*).
~Cais.
Wow! How do you manage all of that?!
I would love to be able to do that, but I know nothing about any of it. Rats! One day maybe…
Do you offer lessons? 🙂
– Toni@toni – There are lots of places to gain some experience and learn something about WordPress design and development. Have a look around http://make.wordpress.org/ and get involved … learn by osmosis (*grin*).
When I was organizing WordPress Meetups, the majority of them were lesson/learning based … I plan to get back to that again, but I’m not convinced the “Meetup” ideals are the best to go forward with.

Stellar! I will check the site. Osmosis works at times too. Thanks for the encouragement.
I am going to a Meetup. My first, in Austin. I hope to get something out of it. Especially here in Austin.
Cheers,
ToniPS I just started reading the Core blog and some threads. Actually it is quite helpful – a good way to understand how WP works. Thanks!
@toni – Glad to have helped … you can also get involved in Theme Reviews as well. There’s lot to learn doing that, too … https://make.wordpress.org/themes/

Great! I am quite excited! I have longed to get into WP somehow – before trying random, pointless, things on my sites. Which I already do with plugins – big time.
I have been through a lot of themes – and am always looking through for more. I waste hours looking and trying and deleting.
Someone has just offered to step me through creating a child theme. So I am all over it!
Direct me anywhere anytime!
Big thanks,
ToniYour link goes to the wrong page. Try this one: https://make.wordpress.org/themes/
Actually, I just spent weeks trying to customize a theme I especially like. My first foray into CSS. (It seemed a simple request – just link stuff: color, hover, visited, avoiding buttons.)
I spend a LOT of time tinkering in general. So I stuck it out.
The theme author even spent 3 days with me, without complete success. Very gracious person. Eventually, a couple of weeks later, I completed some long thing – with research and help – that worked.
Why does this matter to you? What is my point? I do not remember.
Toni
@toni – Thanks (I used my JellyBeen powers to fix the link) … I forgot the
sin two places(?!)Tinkering is a great way to learn as well, a great many WordPress designers and developers started that way, too.
~Cais.
Excellent! I will tinker away
Historically, my tinkering destroys. I spent 10/12 of last year rebuilding the same two sites and losing content. And just today I damaged sectors on a hard drive – yay! I can end up doing cool things, but there is a pathway of damage behind each success.
Cheers!
ToniJellybeans…too cute, and sweet! 🙂
