Can't Edit/Create Posts

    I am having a similar issue. When I try to create or edit a post it is on text, but when clicking visual it still shows text, but formatted odd.

    I don’t have ANYTHING to see. I can’t even click in the box.
    It works if I turn off the “visual editor” but I’m a bit of a visual writer. I prefer seeing that my pictures and things are looking right (without having to open another tab)

    Do you happen to be using WordPress’ development version at the moment? If that’s the case, you’ll want to install Jetpack’s development version as well to fix a conflict created by the recent update to TinyMCE 4.0.12 in Core:

    If you do not use WordPress’ development version, could you check for Javascript errors in your browser when in the post editor, so we can find out more about the problem on your site?

    I updated to 3.9 and I am getting an error, too.

    It’s to be related to the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor.

    TypeError: tinymce.dom.Event.add is not a function @ /wp-content/plugins/wysija-newsletters/mce/wysija_register/editor_plugin.js:147

    As you can see, in my case, the issue was caused by the plugin Wysija newsletters, disabling the plugin fixed the problems for me.

    Simply check your javascript console and disable the plugins in conflict with the new WP version
