I take it you tried a different browser, just to be sure..
Did you try on an other computer ?
I have a problem too, can’t add a new item to my menu, tried on another browser, but didn’t worked either. I just moved my site from another server, and needed to add a new page, when I click on save it takes to a Page not found
Just talked to the hosting, and they said to disable the mod security and it worked!, and then I activated it again…

Carolaword, what do mean with “The mod security”? where can i find that?
At the cpanel, Security.
I’m not sure if I like it, I mean if it’s secure to do it, but it worked. I’ll check more into it later.
I am having the same problem. Dropdown menu won’t work after 4.2.3. update. I am thinking of moving away from word press. So many issues all of the time. what a nightmare indeed.

I can’t even figure out how to start a topic in here (which makes me feel like a bit of an idiot!!) but my issue is related to this one so I’ll try commenting here.
I can’t update pages or posts – I can get into the back end of the website but it’s really slow to load any of the pages in there (yet the published website is fine and normal speed). I can get to edit the page but as soon as I try to change anything it gives me the following error message and then the update button is deactivated so I can’t save anything
“Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.”
I have tried using Safari and Google Chrome and they both have the same issue
My internet connection is fine
Anyone have any ideas of what I can try to fix it?

Oh meant to say this was after the 4.2.3 update…..
