I had a problem deleting posts using mozilla but it worked fine in IE.

In addition I recently posted a story and it appeared 8 times!! Of course, I couldn’t delete it either. I have tried adapting htaccess to get some php errors but nothing shows. This is pretty desperate – any ideas anyone?

Has your host recently turned on mod_security?

It now works.
There were various problems at my server over the weekend and since then the deletions work. They confirmed that they had changed some of the call-out ports for WordPress (which apparently needs port 80) as a security measure. Now it works.
