Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please, go to Pages > Home Page (may have different name) and locate the Page Slider meta box in the right column. Change the slider from Demo to the name of your own slider.
I did that in the Dashboard area (Theme Settings/Home). I didn’t know that I also had to make the change in a second location. It worked, Thanks,
To confirm, are you making the change from the drop-down in Pages > Home? If so, please, also try making the change from Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings > Home. We’ve just made a fix to the synchronization of these two settings, there was a problem in the last version.

No problem. Vantage is a very good theme but there will always be some bugs to fix. BTW I was able to create a tagline by playing around with the HTML/CSS. Thanks

(Please, keep in mind that each time we release a Vantage update and you run that update, all files in the theme folder are overwritten. This is the same for all themes and plugins when they update.
