I’m working on a WordPress installation which uses Contact Form 7 already. (I don’t actually know if it’s doing what it’s meant to, since I don’t have access to the email account where the forms are supposedly sent). I want to create a new style of contact form, while leaving the default one alone.

First of all, I tried to create a new one.

    Hit “Add New”
Then under “Use the default language (English)” again “Add New”
Get to a page headed “Add New Contact Form”. The title of this contact form is “Untitled”. There’s a Save button in the corner of the title bar (and nowhere else on the page). I edit the title and hit “Save”. Or, I leave the title alone and hit “Save”. Either way, this takes me back to the list of contact forms, which still only have one element in it.

Using the “Copy” link under the default contact form _does_ create a new copy called “Contact_copy”. But then if I do any edits anywhere and press “Save” it reverts back to the previous version, and my changes are lost.

    Using Safari on MacOSX 10.8.5

What version of Contact Form 7 do you use? Can I check the site?

I have exactly the same problem – no save button below the edit area. The save button at the top – to the right of the title brings up an alert “Are you sure you want to do this?” with a “Try Again” button. Clicking that returns whatever form I’m editing to it’s initial state.

Found a workaround later on – when I do it in Chrome rather than Safari, the save button works fine.

So I’m happy enough now – might be worth working out if the problem with Save is common on MacOS though.

Yes, I, too, can confirm that the top, Save button works in Chrome.
