Like many others on this forum, customers can’t checkout on my site since the recent update. I tried to re-install wpec plugin completely to no avail. Further investigation shows the file ajax.js is expected but missing on the checkout step 1 page.

I checked and that file does not exist at all in that folder.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Turned off the theme and was able to process a transaction. So it is some issue with ajax on the theme I’m using, which is Flexishop.

That theme has some issues. Ive seen quite a few users with different issues all caused by the theme.
It seems the theme developers have parted ways and i`m not sure where do you guys have to look for updates but you will have to try and contact the theme devs and get an update for the theme.

I’ve contacted the Gold Cart developers and they are upgrading the plugin to see if that is part of the issue.

    Stay tuned.

What do you mean that you contacted Gold Cart developers ?

    Hi Misulicus,
Sorry for the confusion. The developers of WP E-commerce also have a plugin called Gold Cart with additional check out features and payment gateways. However, they were unable to help me. So instead I went into my theme files and edited the checkout page. I am using a theme called Flexishop and the developers of the theme split ways and are no longer supporting it. So I had to rewrite the code in the theme myself. The problem was some sort of conflict with the version of jQuery the theme devs were using versus the version of jQuery required by WP E-commerce. Specifically, I believe it was the jQuery module for the shopping cart slider that was the issue (this is the slider that, on my theme, slides each page of the checkout horizontally.) So I took out that code and put all of the checkout forms on one page. That solved the issue for me, although it is not an elegant solution. My long-term solution will be to migrate to a new, supported theme. I am looking at PrimaTheme because it is by the designer who worked on Flexishop (my current theme) and has many layout similarities.
Let me know if I can answer any additional questions that may help.

    Hi dkbrown
Did you migrate to a new theme? I have the some issues, my sliders and cart do not dynamically update with a theme built on Flexishop.

    Hi ,
I need help on my website. The step 2 of the checkout page is not working. it displays some error message when customers click on PROCEED button after adding items to cart.
Someone please help, i know close to nothing on web designing

@miraexcel you have a theme problem.
Looking at your store i see several javascript isues.
WP eCommerce does not have a “steps” checkout flow. That is how your theme is designed so you have to contact your theme developers to ask for updates of the theme to work with the latest WP ecommerce version.

Do you have an idea on how i can contact them? i mean any links? thanks

    @miraexcel
I see you are using WP flexyshop theme.
That theme is kinda outdated from what ive seen so far on support requests and also from googling around the developers have kind of parted ways so im not sure who offers support for it if they even do.

    Regards
