can't change anyting

Hi
Sorry, but I can’t change the color at all. I tried everything it says here: https://www.addtoany.com/buttons/customize/wordpress/menu_icon_color and but the only thing it did was put the icons in a vertical list and that is not even an option so I’m at a total loss here. I want nothing fancy. The transparant one looks just fine. Hope someone can help me out. thx.T.
