can’t change admin email

    “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” this message keeps showing on the screen. But I can’t see the instructions because the admin email belongs to someone who has left. And when I try to change the admin email, this message showed again and make me unable to change the email.
    what should I do? I can do nothing right now inside wordpress.

    Hi @hlys57,

    You can change the email address from the database directly. Here are the steps explaning 2 methods to do so.

    • From WP dashboard – This method is getting failed for you I believe.
    • From database – This is something I am talking about.

    Make sure you have backup of the site especially database before performing any of the above step.
