Can’t assign categories

    I’m a little confused: I created records for books, topics and preachers, but when entering a sermon, there isn’t a way to assign these categories. If I do a quick edit after creating a sermon, there are text boxes to type this info, but no checkboxes or drop-downs to select from. That means the person creating entries will have to know the names of all the categories, and can easily mistype them. Am I missing something?

    Also, is there a way to remove a filter button? For example, if we aren’t assigning any series, can we remove the Series filter button?

    Hi,

    That’s the way WordPress tags/categories picker works.

    When you are creating the sermon, picker for Preacher, Series, Topics, and Bible books will be on the right side, under the box for editing status, date, deleting, etc.

    And yes, the person who is editing them will have to know at least the part of the name, or they can click on “Choose from the most used tags” link and most used names will show up.

    Also, is there a way to remove a filter button? For example, if we aren’t assigning any series, can we remove the Series filter button?

    Yes! But you will either need to wait for the next official Sermon Manager release, or use development version for it. The following shortcode will hide all filters, just remove what you don’t need:

    To install development version, please do the following:

    1. Deactivate and remove existing Sermon Manager (no data will be lost)
    2. Download and activate development version
