Can't add new gallery

    I am unable to add a new gallery in NextGen Gallery. In the “Manage Galleries” screen, if I click “Add New Gallery”, a directory with the name of the new gallery (all in lowercase) is created on the server but the gallery does not appear in the list of galleries and when I look in the MySql database, I see the names of the existing galleries (two of them) but the new ones are not there. I get no error message when I click “Ok”.

    My Info:
    Wordpress version is 3.7.1 (need to stay at that version for now)
    Nextgen Version is 2.0.40
    Mysql Version: Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.35
    Php Version: PHP 5.4.22
    Host:Bluehost
    Theme: Arthemia Free
    Plugins: “Quotes Collection”, “Calendar (Kieran O’Shea)”, “Disable WordPress Plugin Updates”, “Fast Secure contact form”,

    @patrick_here – You have listed your other plugins but have you checked if this issue is still there when they are deactivated?

    I doubt that you theme would be causing any issues, but have you also checked if the problem persists when you use a default WordPress Twenty series theme?
