I am trying to create a child theme for my site. Therefore I have been trying to go to http;//polemasterfitness.com/wp-content/themes to create a directory. But the page comes up blank. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

  • Theme’s areant created through the browser like that. You’ll need to use FTP to set up the folder structure that you need.

Or you could use a plugin. Haven’t used that one but it is up to date from what I could tell.

Thank you. I’m new to WordPress so I have been watching youtube vids to learn how to set everything up. The information you provided lead me in the right direction. I recall receiving and email from my hosting company regarding uploads to the FTP. I think I should be good to go now. Thanks again.

Of course! Always happy to help however I can.

tlbrum1, remember: first create the child theme and then you make your changes.

Thanks Jose for mentioning my plugin.
