Can't access "wp-admin/install.php"
-
I’m new to WordPress and web hosting in general, so I could be overlooking something easy…
So I have changed my domain name servers (with Moniker) to those Laughing Squid (my host) instructed. Using FTP I uploaded the contents of the wordpress contents folder into my public directory (“danielspellman.com/web/content”). I’d changed the instructed values in the wp-config-sample.php file and renamed it to wp-config.php. But when I access http://www.danielspellman.com/wp-admin/install.php, I get the generic search page that I assumed was a placeholder for my website.
Since I had no clue what to do I did also try “EasyWP Installer” (this: http://smackdown.blogsblogsblogs.com/2008/06/18/easywp-wordpress-installer-cause-there-aint-no-such-thing-as-too-easy/), but the same thing happened. I upload the file to my public directory, but going to http://www.danielspellman.com/easywp.php and I get the search page.
What am I doing wrong? Please help!
