    Hi,

I activated the cloudflare for this website and ever since then the wp-admin could not be accessed. I tried the page rewrite method, pausing cloudflare protection and deactivating the plugin, still the page could not be accessed. Any information and help would be appreciated.

  • The issue may be related with HTTP / HTTPS. Check if you’re using flexible SSL from the cloudflare dashboard. Turn SSL off and try again.

    Hi @furkan811,

I tried deactivating the SSL under the crypto settings in Cloudflare and re-activated the plugin, logged in the email and global api. Unfortunately, I’m still not able to access the login page in incognito mode (I think I can only access it because I’m cached).

    Hello,

I deactivated the All-In-One WP Security plugin and can now access the login page. πŸ™‚
It may be that your solution plus turning off the plugin worked.

    Many thanks!

Hi, sorry to bother again. While I was able to make the WP-Admin work, my login credentials don’t work now and I can’t log back into the admin.

    @mortega88,

Do you mean you’re unable to log in to /wp-admin or to the Cloudflare plugin?

If you’re unable to log in to /wp-admin I don’t think that is something we can help you debug.

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi @jwineman,

I’m unable to log into the /wp-admin, FTP & CPanel. I understand that these are common problems with cloudflare (https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-tips-troubleshooting-common-proble/) but the alternatives provided at the blog do not work.

I disabled cloudflare but the problem persists, maybe because the DNS servers are still being resolved?

What does “unable to login” mean specifically? If the page is loading but your credentials don’t work that doesn’t sound like a Cloudflare issue. If the page isn’t loading that might be a cloudflare issue. Do you have SSL enabled? Have you tried turning it off?

Hi @jwineman we have not changed the login credentials at all.

However, upon deactivating the SSL as instructed by @furkan811, we now cannot enter via FTP or CPANEL which is one of the common problems for cloudflare as stated in the article. But the fixes mentioned don’t work, unfortunately. If it was only the WP Security plugin, I doubt that it would disable FTP access.

I’m kind of scared removing cloudflare credentials because some users have very bad experiences about it as seen in the comments article. The site has a lot of statistics and data that are important.

    Hope you guys can help.

    > cannot enter via FTP

Are you trying to enter via URL or by IP? Please check this post. Try using IP address while using ftp.

DNS wouldn’t effect. Only the record being orange clouded would effect.
