Can’t access site or admin with /php extension

  • Using WP 2.8.4, I’m unable to access my site or my admin when using an address with the .php extension. I can get to my home page using laurelightdotcom, but not laurelightdotcom/indexdotphp. I can’t reach my admin at all as the address is sitedotcom/folder/wp-admin/index.php. I’ve run repair database through cPanel to no avail. My last backup was some time ago, so I’m hoping to avoid having to restore it and was looking for any suggestions here first. Thanks.

I’m getting a bad server response error, so I’d check with your host. If not, delete your .htaccess file via FTP and see if that brings your site back. You’l need to rest permalinks afterward.
