Can’t access site or admin login

Hi all! I was editing a blog post, saved it and then closed out and decided to go back into my site of almost a year and all of a sudden it just keeps loading and loading and won’t arrive at the website or even my wp-login Page. Certain web browsers I’ve tried it from say connection timed out others are just blank. I’m so panicked. I read about how to access my stuff to change the plugins via ftp and other things but it’s not making sense to me. I can’t figure that all out. I’m missing something and my heart is just broken that I can not access my site. Could anyone please help me?
