Can’t access site after changing wp-admin url

Hi there,

I have used this plugin many times for different sites and has always worked right away without any problems. However on my most recent site, after changing the wp-admin url in the permalinks setting and then visiting my site, the home page directs to /wp-admin/admin-post.php and shows the message “you must log in to access the admin area” – this is strange since if i go to the new wp-admin url that I changed I can still login to the dashboard fine, so not sure why it is now changing urls of my home page?
I have an age gate plugin installed that shows initially, but after completion it goes to that url even tho no redirect is supposed to happen at that point.
