  • Delete cookies and then try and log in if that does not work then might have reset your password.

I just clicked on the link and got 404 error so where did you install wordpress as its not in root then I clicked the link to go to your website that open fine so check if you have wp-admin folder in root.

Thanks govpatel. I’ve already tried with cookies, but this doesn’t work. As for resetting the password, it doesn’t work to. If i go here: http://www.davidemusso.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
adn if I put in my ID or email nothing happens

Ok I got the reason why I could not go page

    http://www.davidemusso.com/wp-admin

how did you reset your password

sorry, I don’t understand (I’m not a WP expert): what can I do? yesterday everything worked fine.

I can’t access my admin either. I installed BuddyPress yesterday. Today when I login to the admin account, it redirects me to the homepage.

did you both install any plugins to cause the problem

    I installed BuddyPress yesterday.

I have buddypress I do not think that could be the problem.

do you use permalinks if so log in ftp and rename .htaccess file and see if .htaccess is causing the problem

How do I log in ftp?

Your host should have provided you with log in information to connect to your account on host server.

@pemberley: and beside these information to access your ftp you need to install on your computer a ftp client (i.e. filezilla: http://filezilla-project.org/)

@govepatel: I installed two plugins: one is “page links to” and the other one is to Disable Canonical URL Redirection (this one: http://txfx.net/files/wordpress/disable-canonical-redirects.phps). without the last one, it’s impossible to see my site.

using ftp rename follow this instructions

    Have you tried:

    1. deleting/renaming your .htaccess. it’s possible that a .htaccess rule could be the source of the problem.

    2. deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    3. switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems? If you don’t have access to your admin panel, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the Default theme (Twenty Ten theme) to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue

    4. resetting the plugins folder by FTP Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

rename the plugin folder to folder-hold and create a new folder plugin

    5. re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

Thanks for the input! I apologize, I am sort of an ignoramous when it comes to this sort of thing. Here are my questions:

    1. How do I rename my .htaccess?

    2. I don’t think I am able to do this because I can’t log in to my admin page.

    3. Hm, I’ll have to try logging in through FTP. Can you tell me how to do that? I use HostGator.

    4. How do I reset the plugins folder through FTP?

    5. How do I re-upload the wp-admin?

Looks like you need a step by step walk through to learn how to use the server or ftp.

If you can register on my website and meet me in my conference room I can teach you how use your cpanel at hostgator.
Click on my name register once registered click on online on side bar will be waiting for you.
