I accidentally deleted a page and easily recovered it from Trash. I can see it on the published pages list and can edit it using the ‘edit” option. However, when I try to view the page, I cannot see it. A child page is displayed instead. The same thing happens when navigating the site externally (i.e. selecting the page in question returns the child page).

All permalinks and page names of the problem page look fine. This appears to be a navigation problem but I can’t see a way to fix it.

    Try:
    – flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – re-saving your current permalink structure at wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks.

Thanks Keesie. I didn’t need to go through your entire list of suggestions. I am not running a caching plugin so that did not apply. I did flush my browser cache. Don’t know how to flush my server cache so skipped that one.

Before deactivating all of my plugins, I decided to start with suspicious plugins that were involved with the problem page. Deactivated the first one and then retested and voila, problem solved! I am very happy that I did not have to go further.

Again, thank you for the quick response.
