Cannot upload phots

    I can’t upload photos and keep getting this message: Unable to create directory /usr/local/pem/vhosts/107502/webspace/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2011/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
    I have read loads of the posts on the forum but everyone is saying to go to “wp admin, settings, misc” to change permissions, but I don’t even appear to have a “settings” tab on my admin page. I don’t know whether this is because my webhost did a one touch download for me and installed WP without me having to do anything. Where do I access permissions?

    Yo Carrie,

    You will need to change the directory permissions to 777.

    CHMOD 0777

    Use FTP or your web hosts file manager. This isn’t something that one would do within WordPress.

    Your host may be limiting your options. Host with me and resolve all issues.
