Cannot Upload Category Images

    Hello!

    So I was working on category images 2 days ago and had no issues. I went to add a few more yesterday and I can’t upload any images for any categories. When I try there is no error message. I click upload image, click the image, click use image and then nothing happens. I haven’t changed anything since the other day when I was uploading category images successfully so I’m just not sure where to go from here.

    Hello,

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. To determine what’s causing the issue, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    Hey @sweettidings – can you please try using a different browser? It does sound like a conflict of some kind, but it may not be with one of your plugins or the active theme. Using a different browser will exclude browser specific widgets and code that may be interfering.

    If this isn’t working either, can you please share a screenshot of what you are seeing? You can use http://www.snipboard.io to upload the image, then copy the link and paste it here.

    Ok, so tried a different browser, and although that didn’t fix the issue I was having, it did make me try something new. I had only tried using 2 pictures (as I only had 2 categories left to upload pictures for). I just tried a completely different picture and that worked. So, most of my pictures actually work just not the ones I was trying to use.

    I have no idea why some pictures would work when others don’t? Especially when I could use them for product pictures. And there’s no form of error message.

    It just looks like I didn’t try at all, but when I click the upload/add image button again the pic I selected is still selected.

    But thank you! Because this is a problem I can work around.

    Hi again!

    That is indeed weird – your error messages might be suppressed by something else, hm. What kind of file extension do the images that don’t work have?
