Cannot search orders by email address

    Orders can no longer be searched by email address. Any search of for an email address automatically removes the @ symbol, so of course no results are found. Was this changed recently?

    I have navigated to WooCommerce > Orders and searched orders using email, and I was unable to replicate the issue you are facing. Can you please check and confirm that you’re using the latest version (6.7.0) of the WooCommerce plugin?

    In order for us to get a better understanding of your site setup, could you please share a copy of your website’s System Status Report?

    You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    Hi @bnrbranding

    Thanks for sharing the System Status Report. There is nothing in it that stands out as a problem.

    1. Could you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and from the dropdown on the right side, please see if there are any logs starting with the words fatal-error? Please let us know what you find.

    2. This problem seems to have been caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    If you don’t want to run the test on your live production site, you can create a duplicate/staging site. Many hosting providers offer site staging facilities, but if you don’t have such a feature, you can create one with the WP Staging plugin.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Well, that was weird. It appears to have been an issue with a plugin because all of our sites are once again working properly. We update on a schedule and everything was working great after we ran updates. Unfortunately there’s no way to know which plugin was the issue, but if it happens again we’ll tracking down and send you and the plugin devs the info.
