    Dear friends,
I have this problem and I don’t know how to fix it.
I’m making a website in WP and I have it hosted in hostinger to test the website from a server.
I have the Login-Logout plugin to handle the autentification of the users and it works with registered users over the WP panel (the backend), but if I try to register a new user from the front-end, it doesn’t found. Also if I use another plugin as “Theme My Login” I have the same problem, so I think it’s cause of my WP settings or the server settings.
An important thing, is that the server let worpress to send emails, because the contact form is working without problems.
Someone knows how to fix it?
    Thanks!

  • Under settings>>general do you have this checked?

    Membership Anyone can register

Yes, that’s checked, I don’t know what happend

So without those plugins you should be able to go to yoursite/wp-admin and see “Register | Lost your password?”

Do you see that? And that doesn’t work?

Thanks, I try it, and the register/lost password form over myweb/wp-admin link is visible, but it doesn’t work, it’s the same if I use the plugins. This is be cause of my hosting service?

Hmmm. Contact your host support and ask them to disable mod_security and then test to see if registration works or not.

THanks, but may be I will need another hosting. In the hostinger web page there are information about how to disable mod_security, with the .htaccess file, but if I do it, my WP doesn’t work. I get the 500 Internal Server Error

I think you need to go back a few steps. Make sure anyone can sign up is checked.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default theme for your version of WordPress to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I did it but it didn’t work. Also I installed Easy WP SMTP to try setting up an e-mail account to the webpage using stmp, but it didn’t send emails.
I contacted to the Hostinger support but they still don’t answer to me, so may be I will try another hosting service. Maybe I will wait a few days to decide some important things (domain name and motivational phrases) and I will purchase a premium hosting, maybe bluehost. If it doesn’t work, I don’t know what to do

Well, I comment to if someone has the same problem: I solved it buying a Premium Hosting plan (Hostinger, but each other who has SMTP works). Also I installed the plugin Postman SMTP in my web and configured it. Now it works, but the e-mails go to trash folder (I will solve it later, the important thing is that it’s working)
