Cannot preview Custom Post Type Drafts

- I have a site with perhaps a dozen custom post types (used Easy Post Types Plugin).
- Published posts of any kind preview just fine.
- Draft versions of Posts and Pages preview just fine.
- Draft versions of Custom Post Types show me an archival or search-result type preview.
- Clicking on the title for that takes me to a 404 error.
- The workaround is to publish it as a private post, which allows preview and normal editing.
- This behavior began recently when I moved this site from a subfolder to the root folder.
- At that time, I also ran a search-and-replace to correct URLs on the site, which damaged some widgets in the database. That has all been corrected, but I cannot rule out that this problem might be stemming from that.
- This is a very big site, with a lot of traffic. I do not believe this is a plugin conflict. I have disabled some to experiment, but hobbling the site temporarily by disabling all would be very undesirable.
- I am interested in examining specific code in specific files to see if something is wrong, but I do not quite know where to look. Suggestions would be quite welcome.
