Cannot login with admin | WordPress.org

I have uploaded and run the install.php script on a server running IIS. When I login using the admin username and password that was randomly generated, my browser keeps forwarding me back to the login screen (wp_login.php). When it does, the url link is now “wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php”.

I cannot get past the login. I have checked phpmyadmin and I see the db tables that were created.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am having the same problem. IIS and I get the same redirect issue with the Admin login.

I did a search and found the following link that solved my problems… Like the forum said – search first:

This resolved it quite nicely.

I have been working on the same problem for two days. I tried the link but the connection continues time out. Is it possible for you to post the resolution here?

I finally was able to access the above link. After taking a look at all the changes required I understand why you did not post it here.

I was able to login by putting in the changes for just line 185, although the remaining changes (a lot) have to be applied for the blog to function properly.

If others are having the same problem and cannot access the site, I converted the page to a PDF file (14 pages long including comments). The PDF file can be downloaded from:
