I’m using WP 2.0.1
Any advice? Thanks!

Are you able to get to the admin area via the “Edit” link from any of your posts?
I had the same problem so I installed worpress again. It didn’t fix anything so I will have the same problem in a few days. You are logged in for 10 days (cookie).
Can I see your site so I can see what we did to make this happen.
My site: http://www.mingei.be/home (still working on it)I tried now to login using the path
/wp-admin/theme-editor.php
at http://www.italiasw.com and i was able to login. I received the welcome screen for inserting id e pwd and then i navigated trough admin panel.
I didn’t logoff and i tried from home page to click on edit. I was able to change the post.
Any advice to solve this or a wp bug?
I think it is a bug related to feed on the Dashboard page.
Sometimes I can’t log in directly to Dashboard. Other days I can, but the feed isn’t shown. And, maybe once a week, I can log in AND see the feed.
Just my guess though.
P.S Nothing so important now that i’m able to login from admin directory but i think it’s a ugly solution π
If i can i leave this post open because i hope to receive other advices
For now very thanks HandySolo !
@handysolo, is it imporant to keep the ‘feeds’ menu? I deleted it. Could this give a problem?
edit: I can’t log in through theme editor like you did.
As long as you don’t mind deleting it again next time you upgrade π
There’s a plug-in, somewhere, that “blocks” the feed on the Dashboard, does something else, and allegedly would help with this. My attention-span is so short that everytime I think to go look for it I forget what it was I was going to look for….
lol, good to kwow there is a plug-in that helps. It will be hard to find though (there are many plug-in’s). I hope you will remember the name or something like that. I don’t want to loose control over my website again.
Thanks for your help HandySolo.Problem solved.
1) I did a backup of my whole installation (no dbms)
2) I uploaded a fresh WP 2.0.2
3) I uploaded the plugins
4) I uploaded my wp-config
5) I didn’t uploaded my cache folder and backup folder.And now it’s ok π
I’m really sure it’s a wordpress bug , maybe the cache directory? —-:(
Best Regards – Matteo
yeah, sometimes things are good for a while after I clear my cache. But the problem usually returns…
I should just disable I suppose and see if that does anything.
what do you people mean with a cash folder/ clearing your cache?
I am not installing wordpress again, I did to mutch work to do this. Isn’t there an other way?/youBlog/wp-content/cache is where WP will keep cache files. Sometimes, it seems that clearing that cache out can be helpful. Or maybe that’s just “voodoo tech”.
there is no cache folder/file in my wp-content folder. Could this be a problem?
Some more tips are still welcome
Thanks handysolo πHmm, well, I think that started with wp2.x. What version of wordpress are you on?
Oh – and it is probably apache only.
