Hi… a site I worked on probably a couple of years ago has lost it’s images. The client called and asked me to see what the problem is…. I’m sure it just needs updates….however I cannot login with my details or his. What do I do now?
    The website is http://www.execdoors.co.za

I have no idea… it isn’t even recognising my client or my email address. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Anywhere I can look to find them?

Try requesting a password reset for the “admin” username, might work.

Do you have or can you find the login for the hosting control panel? Or can you reset the password there? If so, you can use their phpMyAdmin tool to directly change the password in the MySQL database.

This shows different ways to reset the password.

we not says to provide details for login as per forum rules.

This is incorrect. This forum has no details about an individuals password or log on.

Thanks for the link. I decided to do the phpMyAdmin route which just sounded obvious. So I followed the instructions to find that under the wp_users file… was

MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). (Query took 0.0003 sec)
    SELECT *
    FROM wp_users
    LIMIT 0 , 30

It seems as though all users have been wiped out. How does this happen.

When I go to wp_usermeta my name is listed as the Administrator.

With the FTP way I still need a username. So it seems I’m really stuck

    Any further ideas?

You can generate a new admin user using phpMyAdmin. See http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/333-add-admin-via-mysql
