cannot install updates

    I’ve been trying and although it worked in the past I can no longer install updates to this plugin. I would like to resolve it. Can you provide any insight.
    All it says is Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

    Hi BlackDuckSoftware.

    It sounds like the file permissions on your web server are so restricted that WordPress can’t update or write new files into the plugins folder.

    There are plugins out there that attempt to fix these kinds of issues, but I don’t know any well enough to recommend them.

    Hi Julka, & thanks for the note… the weird thing to me is that I can update every plugin except three – so it’s not about the folder in general. I made the same diagnosis (but I don’t have access to the server).
