Cannot import file from wordpress.com

Hi

I have tried over and over to import my blog xml file from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.

I have uninstalled wordpress, plue the plugin, I have deleted files from my .com site. But it’s still not working. All I am getting via the import is categories, tags and a few media files.

I have exported a file from wordpress.com
I then went into the admin of wordpress.org (hosted by bluehost) and imported inc attachments.

Nothing is working.

I have not been able to write to my blog in days and my followers are seeing an empty unprofessional blog.

Can someone please assist.
