I downloaded and activated the Animate It! plugin, went to one of my previously published posts, selected the basic Fadein animation (Delay: None / Duration: 0.5 / Timing: Linear), and pressed Animate it and Insert.

The plugin affected my whole site and worked fine, allowing me to traverse my site horizontally rather than scrolling vertically.

Except that I cannot scroll up and down on the post on which I activated the plugin!

I have tried to delete the Animate It code from that post several times (including deleting it in several times in Autosaves), and it keeps coming back.

I have deactivated and reactivated the plugin but the code remains and I can’t scroll on the one post.

I have deleted and reinstalled the plugin but the code remains and I can’t scroll on the one post.

Why is this happening and how can I undo it?

    Thanks in advance,

    NEAL

    FOLLOW-UP:

Went to my host service and they searched for every bit of Animate It code they could find and deleted it. To no avail.

So I had them replace my entire site with a 24-hour old back-up, half a day before I added the code to the post.

Now I have a site that does NOT have the Animate It plugin, but still has the animation: I can scroll horizontally as well as vertically, which is what I wanted. Also, I can now scroll down the animated post and read it, which is also what I wanted.

Now what I want is to know how your plugin keeps on working after it’s been repeatedly deleted?!!?

And how do I get the hidden code out of my site!??!

    Hoping to hear from you,

    NEAL

    Dear NEAL,

Apologies for the inconvenience. I assure you, Animate It! does not have any hidden code. The issue might be due to some kind of caching performed at server end.
In order to analyze this further, we need to access the Admin dashboard. Could you please send the URL of your website and test credentials at contact[at]eleopard[dot]in.

Regarding the scrolling issue, there is an option under Settings -> Animate It! to enable or disable vertical and horizontal scrolling.

    ELEOPARD

Just sent you an email to make sure that I understood your address.

Now, I have no problem sending you the URL, but what are “test credentials”?

    Thanks,

    NEAL
