Cannot Generate New Thumbnails

    I am trying to resolve an issue with thumbnails not generating.

    The issue can be seen at http://www.paramountconstruction.net/bethesda-builder-homes-portfolio.

    Some thumbnails are being displayed, some are not, however full size images can still be viewed if you click on the broken thumbnail image.

    The bizarre thing is that in the “Manage Galleries” section, each album is correctly displaying thumbnails.

    Unfortunately, I am unable to create new thumbnails. I get an error every time, whether I attempt to create a new thumbnail for one gallery or for multiple galleries.

    Below is some of the errors that are generated.

    Error while creating thumbnail.

    Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Hi Cais.

    Yes I have. We deactivated all plugins and then reactivated NextGen. There is no conflicts with the theme either as we tested the issue with the default WordPress themes.

    What could be causing this.

    @kevin Muldoon – So you are getting the exact same errors with a default WordPress Twenty series theme and only NextGEN Gallery active?

    Did you try also deactivating, deleting, and re-installing and re-activating NextGEN Gallery as well?

    I have been reluctant to delete the plugin and reinstall it as I assumed that NextGen would also remove all data.

    Can you confirm that if I uninstall the plugin and reinstall it, all data will remain and all shortcodes etc will remain the same.

    @kevin Muldoon – All of your images and galleries will be safe. Deactivating and deleting is much the same process that WordPress itself uses to do updates.

    Are you 100% sure of this?

    When I try and delete the plugin, WordPress states:

    You are about to remove the following plugin:

    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati by Photocrati Media (will also delete its data)
    Are you sure you wish to delete these files and data?

    This states that all data will be deleted.

    @kevin Muldoon – I do it all the time on my test sites without issue. NextGEN Gallery will not remove the images, galleries, albums, etc. when you deactivate, delete, re-install and re-activate it using the WordPress Plugins interface.

    Hi Cais.

    I deactivated NextGen. Deleted the plugin. Reinstalled it. Activated it.

    I then tried to generate new thumbnails and I got the same errors as before.

    Is there a way to contact you privately with some login information so that you can quickly check the issue and see what is going wrong.
