Cannot Export Products

I set up a new woocomerce product site. I added just 3 products. However, I cannot EXPORT to CSV.
The top rows are ID TYPE, SKU, etc.
But row 1 under ID shows a number. Row 2-5 show a bunch of text preceeded by “\n” (should be in description field for the first record.

I get a feeling this is pipe related. In my spreadsheet, I can see a pipe | in the top line (like an address bar) but it is invisible in the spreadsheet, and causing breaking, moving it to the next line.
But using the pipe character in the spreadsheet doesn’t help.
