I just noticed this, I did update to 4.2.2 yesterday – but I am not sure if that is the cause of the problem.

Anyways the problems is that in the Admin/Dashboard page, I cannot collapse or expand any of the dashboard sections.

If I want to expand a section, I have to click the arrow then reload the dashboard page, then it is expanded. Same thing if I want collapse a section.

    Anybody else have this issue?

    Cheers

This type of thing is usually due to a JavaScript error caused by a conflict between one or more plugins and/or the active theme.

Try temporarily disabling all active plugins to see if the issue goes away. If so, re-enable each plugin one by one until the issue returns, which should help determine which plugin is at the root of the issue. You can also check for JS errors in the developer tools console (this may actually be quicker than toggling plugins if you know what you’re doing).

That does make sense, but I have not changed or installed any new plugins in some time. I did make some changes to Yoast’s Google Analytics plugin…

    I will poke around.

Getting errors in Chrome’s console about a server error when trying to get the Akismet .js file. That could be the problem.

Now as to why this .js script is resulting in error……

Try disabling Akismet temporarily. If that works, try re-installing it from the repo. If you still get an error trying to access the file after re-installing, it may be some type of server issue blocking access to the file.

Disabled Akismet, no longer get the error in the console (as suspected). However, that did not resolve the issue with the panels not being able to expand or collapse.

There are no other javascript errors showing in the Chrome Console.

Akismet error may just be a coincidence. Try disabling all plugins temporarily.

Got it… the problem is caused by WooThemes Helper.
