Hi @hbvo, thanks for reaching out!
Did you receive an email from “Email me if Wordfence is deactivated” set in Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences to first tell you about this?
If your host has no issue with sites on their platform running Wordfence and didn’t force the deactivation, the An error occurred while saving the configuration message is from being unable to write to the wflogs path. Wordfence does regenerate that folder with fresh data if you delete it or its contents entirely. I would first try deleting the wp-content/wflogs folder via FTP or File Manager to see if you’re able to reactivate the plugin again.
Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your message.
I have tried those steps and apparently, Wordfence does regenerate the file but I still cannot turn on the firewall after reactivating the plugin. Are there other recommendations?
Thanks,
Henry
