Cannot Connect with WordFence Central

    We cannot connect our site to Wordfence Central. We have tried through WF Central and get the error ‘Unable to connect to site.’ There is no longer a widget on the site’s WF dashboard in order to connect from there.

    Under Diagnostics, we see the following error:
    wp_remote_post() test back to this server failed! Response was: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host.

    me too i receive this error:

    Updating configuration for site ID [2d203419-4a2e-4319-b445-a7954acf028b] failed. Response was 422 : {“code”:”rest_set_config_error”,”message”:”An error occurred while saving the configuration: The following users you selected to ignore in live traffic reports are not valid on this system: wpadmin”,”data”:{“status”:422}}

    Hello @msustudio and thanks for reaching out to us!

    Generally, a cURL error 6 is an issue with connection to the host. You can reach out to them but I would still like to ensure it’s nothing else that might be causing the issue.

    Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    You are correct. There was a problem with the host. We had placed a facebook pixel html file at the root of the site for verification. It took down our site, but was still caching the site and was visible to us. Once we removed the facebook html, all was corrected and we were able to connect Wordfence Central.
