Additional information:
When debug is enabled, the following entries appear in the wp-content/debug.log.
However they appear to be unrelated as they are logged when accessing any page on the website.

Sorry about the trouble you are having here, that is interesting I am not sure I have heard of this specifically happening.
Usually errors like this have to do with your theme itself, have you tried changing to something like the 2021 default theme to see if that works? I know that some folks have had older customizations in place, but after updating they do not work because they are incorrect.

The theme was updated to the latest and the issue has been resolved.
