I finally was able to link my wordpress blog to my website. The feed shows up but not the header and all the customization i made on wordpress. Do I need to do anything else on wordpress to get that to come over into my website.
@lm119 – Try deactivating your plugins to see if that solves your issue.
are you trying to add theme via FTP, zip upload or auto install from the wordpress.org themes directory?

No it does not show at all. So I cannot see what themes are available.
that sounds like a reachability issue from your server to api.wordpress.org –> what is your host environment? do you have ssh access? if yes try:
# ping api.wordpress.org
you can always go to http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ and manually download/upload the themes of your choosing
