    Hi everyone,

I want to offer my clients to pay their order with paypal. I am using the basic paypal function for WooCommerce, together with the plugin Germanized. If a client clicks the “buy now”-button and is led to paypal, but then cancels, he gets back to the cart. I get an email, that I’ve got a new order, but my client doesn’t. So my first question is:
    1. Is there a possibility, to lead the client after canceling a paypal order to the thank you page? So that he knows, his order is completed, but he still has to pay for it (which also would be in the email he receives by then).

I Also tried PayPal Plus, with this plugin I can control the page, to which the client gets after canceling the paypal payment. But I dont need the other payment options like credit card and direct debit (don’t know if this is the right word for “Lastschrift” in English, sorry). So my second question:
    2. Is there a possibility to deactivate unnecessary payment options, like credit card, in paypal plus and ONLY offer paypal?

I am really looking forward to any helpful answer, both of the possibilities (using basic paypal or paypal plus) would be fine for me, in general.
    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Sandra

  • Hi Sandra,

With PayPal Standard, as soon as the customer clicks to place the order, a new order is created in WooCommerce. It remains unpaid until WooCommerce hears back from PayPal. If they leave without completing the purchase, then the order remains at WooCommerce.

It is possible to send an invoice to the customer. To do that, go to WooCommere > Orders and click on an order. In the top right corner you’ll see a drop-down for order actions. Select the one for customer invoice and then click the arrow button. That will send the customer an invoice with a link they can use to pay.

It may be possible to remove some of the payment methods from PayPal Plus. I would suggest asking in their forum about that.
