We want to use the plugin on a service-based website, so we want to show different reviews on different service pages. Eg: an electrician website would have light-related reviews on the light installation page. Is this possible?

At the moment it looks like it just shows the most recent/popular, without a way to specify which reviews you want to use in a widget. Our client has hundreds of reviews, so it would by good if all the reviews could be pulled in (over time with our own API key), and we could then just pick and choose which reviews were displayed in a specific widget.

A secondary question: Is there a way to only show high-rated reviews? From what I understand, we can add our own API key to dynamically pull more reviews from Google, but there is nothing preventing a lower-rated review from appearing automatically.

    Hi @mattmargin,

    Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to load all reviews and then select any specific review from the full list.

Our plugin uses the official Google Places API. This API returns only a limited selection of reviews chosen by Google and does not provide a way to request a particular review or paginate through all reviews of a business. This is a limitation of Google’s API itself, not of the plugin.

Adding your own Google API key does not remove this limitation – even with your own key, Google still returns only the limited set of reviews available through the Places API.

For each review available in the plugin, there is a Hide Review option, so you can hide lower-rated reviews and keep only 4- or 5-star reviews visible.

However, please note that hiding reviews will also reduce the total number of reviews shown. The plugin cannot automatically replace a hidden review with another one, because Google Places API does not provide access to the full review list. This is the same Google API limitation described above.

    Thanks!
