Can not download new theme

    Hi There,

    When I click the install button for a new theme — instead of saving a zip file locally — it requests:

    Connection Information
    Hostname:
    Username:
    Password:
    Connection type: FTP or FTPS(SSL)

    I don’t know what this information is… I’ve tried my websites FTP login, I’ve tried my admin login for my website, I’ve tried my wordpress username, nothing works. I keep getting error messages.

    Is there anyway to download the zip files locally?

    It apparently had something to do with trying to access new themes from my dashboard.

    When I got out of dashboard and went straight to the wordpress themes area — I was able to download zip files.

    Where did you go to do that “out of dashboard”? I’m having the same problem and it’s driving me bonkers.
