Can not add photos

    The new photo adding feature seems so easy… yet does not work for me.. I choose media, i can load photos, i can select, I can “insert into Post” – and then nothing happens… No error message, or glitches… all seems very easy and straight forward, but no results.

    I can add galleries no prob, but not individual photos… Is there some simple stupid thing I am missing here?

    Any help woul dbe most appreciated.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thanks. No, I have not tried any of that. I really don’t know how to do most of it. I hired a friend to set up the site for me and part of the attraction was that once it was up I’d be able to handle it very easily. I always worry about messing with it and not being able to re-set.

    It is quite huge, as I moved over 4+ years of a very active blog.

    These kinds of problems make me want to run back to blogger.

    I will work through some of these, and contactmy WP guru friend as necessary…
