I have emailed through the emailing system within the plugin but never get a reply. I was wondering if it is possible to have an option for the ‘attribution text for original article link’ to contain the link of the original article as well.
for example: “Curated from google” would be a link instead of only google as it is in the plugin at the moment.

Is it possible to add an option in the settings so that the link opens in a new window?

    Thanks a lot!

    Thanks for your suggestions.

When you curate content, in the end of the quotation a reference is added in a format:
Curated from “original blog title” [with a link]

The “Curated from” can be configured. Open Settings > ExpressCurate > General > Attribution Text For Original Article Link > Set new value, e.g. “See full story on”

This structure is applied when content is curated from WordPress, as well as from Chrome Extension.
In case this doesn’t work as described, please, first verify to have the latest version of ExpressCurate installed. Then, please, send a screenshot so that we get more clear understanding how it actually works at your side.

We will consider adding a new option to open the original post in a new tab.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes indeed the attribution text works as you described:
–Curated from “original blog title” [with a link]
The “original block title” has a link.

I was wondering if it may be possible to have something like:
    “Curated from” [with a link]
Where the attribution text “curated from” has the link and the title is not displayed.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

We just released the new v2.0.11 where you can find the new setting to define the target of the attribution link as a new tab/window.
NOTE: the new setting will apply to the new posts only, the old texts won’t be altered.

The custom format for the attribution message and link will take some time to get into the development plans, but we will make sure we address it in the near future.
