• I have four pages which contain links to Geo-Location specific apps which are tailored for different parts of world.

I have a top menu that contains just

    HOME

    LOGOUT

I want to add one more link tot he menu called MY APPS

which if the user clicks a link to another page (the sign in default page is MY APPS) – click in on it returns them to the MY APPS page.

I cannot get my head around how I would go about do this as their are 4 different MY APPS pages??

Can anyone help – is this possible?

    thanks

    Hi Jeff,

I am not sure how this is related to our plugin. Which UM functionality are you referring to here?

    Thanks

    Hello

I was not sure if this is something I can do with Ultimate member.

COULD YOU LOOK AT THIS VISUAL FLOW (link below)?
    http://www.filetrans.co.uk/um

it explains what I need to achieve but not sure how to do this and even if Ultimate member is the plugin to use – or if I need another plugin??

any help you could offer is most appreciated.

Ok I have had a look at the flow. I dont think UM is the plugin to use for that. UM does not have any content restriction/nav menu visibility based on user location.

I am not aware of any plugins that offer this.

    Thanks

Oh just read your reply again and it’s not actually the IP address GEO -location that I want to be responsible for the menu item re-direct

Say a North-American user logs in – he/she is presented with their own particular download page as they have different apps available to them – I set the users to 4 specific regions based based on their company location

    They are
    – North America
    – Europe
    – Rest of World
    – Germany

    all good so far

however, if someone in any of the 4 groups navigate away to another general area of the site which is available to anyone (regardless of content privilege) – I need to have a menu link to get them back to the original page they logged into (which is specific to their Region / logged in status).

    Does this make sense?

Kind of but I still don’t think this is achievable with UM. UM has no geo functionality to determine where users are in the world.

    Thanks

Sorry – I do no think I have done a good job of explaining

I do not require a GEO location facility

I have 4 specific wordpress pages for 4 regions which contain apps which they can only download for their areas

When they log in – UM – serves them up their own apps based on the category I have assigned them at set-up – all good so far.

But when they navigate off that initial landing page where there apps – i need to provide them with a link back to that initial page where apps are.

As their are 4 pages of apps – and I only need them to go back to the 1 page they have permission I am not sure how to do this with a single lnk for 4 different groups?

    this is my problem.

I dont think UM has the functionality for that. Have you checked out other plugins? Might be worth you hiring someone to custom code this functionality for you since it seems like you have quite a specific use case.

    Thanks
