At the moment, ReelsHive is primarily designed around self-hosted video files (such as MP4). This approach helps website owners maintain full control over their content, avoid external branding and advertisements, prevent visitors from leaving their site, and achieve better performance through our optimized lazy-loading and buffering system.
Because of this, ReelsHive does not currently support external video URLs such as YouTube links or direct links to externally hosted video files.
That said, we appreciate your suggestion. If support for external video links is requested by more users, we’ll certainly consider adding it in a future release. We continuously prioritize new features based on user feedback and community demand.
